About me

About me

I live in the village of Polperro, in South East Cornwall between Looe and Fowey. I took many of this site's photographs in that area, starting in 2006, but I have added shots from other parts of the county and the Isles of Scilly.

I use a Canon D5 Mk 3 camera and a variety of lenses. All my photographs are stored in RAW format; I use Adobe Lightroom for almost all my post-processing work. I produce my prints from a Canon Pixma Pro 10S printer; its output quality is excellent, and its pigment inks are highly resistant to fading.

Prints are available on request, up to A3+ size (13x19 inches or 483x330 mm). Leave a message and I will get back to you or visit the Polperro Arts Foundation gallery where a selection of prints and cards are displayed, some framed and some mounted but not framed.

In March 2011 my book 'Exploring the Fowey Valley' was published by Alison Hodge in her 'Pocket Cornwall' series (see her website on the Links page). It includes the history and modern descriptions of the area as well as my photographs. The book is available in local shops, through through the distributor Tor Mark and on Amazon.

A second book in a similar format, 'Exploring South East Cornwall', was published in May 2012. It covers the area from the Caradon mining district and Liskeard to the coast at Rame Head and as far west as Lantic Bay.

I have made two collections of photographs available through the self-publishing site 'Blurb'. The first shows the settings, insides and outsides of most of the churches in south east Cornwall; the second includes 36 black-and-white photographs of the coast from Gribbin Head to Rame Head. Both these collections may be downloaded as ebooks.

For iPad and Mac users, in 2015 I made two ebooks available as free downloads from Apple's iBooks store: "A Year in Cornwall" and "The Coast of South East Cornwall".
